My Approach:

My work involves guiding you through your issues in a honouring, personalised and comprehensive manner. This takes your understanding of the way you know the history of your issue/s, using various techniques specific and individually identified for achieving your aims or goals and designing an individualised approach to suit you or your business.

The following are approaches I specialise in:

Cognitive Hypnotherapy

Cognitive hypnotherapy differs from many other forms available because it aims to offer you the very latest modern you-centred honouring approach to therapy. It uses the very latest scientifically driven ideas and techniques. To resolve your issue(s), my job is to act as a guide to help you find your own resources and establish your own solutions.

Word Weaving™

This technique makes the approach I use very unique. It's a style of communication developed and taught by the internationally recognised Trevor Silvester (founder of The Quest Institute ). Many therapists use a one-size fits all approach irrespective of your background, reasons for change or motives for seeking help. No two smokers are the same; neither are two people with a fear of heights or lack of self-esteem. With that in mind, the same approach will have limited impact.

Wordweaving allows a Quest trained professional to incorporate many of a clients own words and thoughts. It makes the approach more acceptable and very personal to you, so much so, that it might not be until later, after hypnotherapy, that you realise how effortlessly and naturally change came about.

NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)

This is an approach developed in the 1970's by Richard Bandler and John Grinder. Some famous NLP statement are: 'It's never too late to have a happy childhood!', 'There's no failure, only feedback!' and 'All your behaviour started out as good behaviour!'

Neuro- the idea that all behaviour is the result of information we receive from our 5 senses.

Linguistic- we use languages to order our thoughts and communicate.

Programming- the way we use the above to create our behaviour.

It incorporates a large number of techniques that can significantly improve your life and those of people around you in a very short period of time. It works by allowing me as therapist to understand your everyday and unique processes effecting your activities that currently might not be giving you all you expect. Then change them to give you what you find is right for you.

Its use can be used to reduce issues such as phobias and anxieties, improve sales and sports performance, relationship guidance or promote greater self-development.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Therapy)

This is a simple technique that has far reaching effects. It's based on similar principles to those used in traditional acupuncture, but without the invasive use of needles. It's applied with the fingertips tapping on specific acupressure points. You are shown where to apply the tapping (usually on the face, hand and chest). The tapping can be accompanied by vocal affirmations that work to remove the emotional blocks in your energy system. It helps to restore the mind, body and feelings to a balanced state, that's not limited by negative emotions.

This is a great technique which can be applied in various situations like personal and self development, reducing stress, eliminating fears and phobias, instilling positive thoughts etc.
